Information session: Indefinite employment for employees on fixed-term contracts

In 2013, a new labor rule was passed to allow fixed-term employees to be eligible for indefinite employment having worked at the same company for over 5 years. This rule is also applicable for employees of Hitotsubashi University, and from April 2018 onwards you may be eligible for indefinite employment.

Do you think this rule applies to you? Do you want to find out how to apply for indefinite employment, or just learn more about labor regulations? Tetsuro Kinoshita, the legal advisor for the Hitotsubashi Union, will give a lecture covering the labor law, and will be on-site to provide advice and to answer any questions you may have. Participation is free and all are welcome to join. Advice will be available in English and Japanese.

有期労働契約の「無期転換ルール」についての学習会

　有期労働契約の「無期転換ルール」を定めた【労働契約法の一部を改正する法律】が平成２５年４月１日に施行されてから来年の４月で５年になります。この無期転換ルールは、有期労働契約が反復更新されて通算5年を超えたときは、労働者の申込みにより、期間の定めのない労働契約（無期労働契約）に転換できるルールです。本学でも非常勤講師や契約職員など来年の４月から無期転換請求権を獲得する方が出てくることになります。
　自分は、無期転換ルールに該当するのか？無期転換請求権を行使するにはどうしたらいいのか？また、無期転換権を獲得するために今年度気をつけておかなければいけないことは何なのか、などについて組合顧問弁護士の木下徹郎さんにレクチャーいただき、相談を受け付けたいとおもいます。ふるってご参加下さい。
